Packaging
Glass
Many of our products come in glass packaging, which is designed to be reused. I’ll provide detailed cleaning instructions for these glass containers in another section. We strongly encourage you to wash and reuse them, whether for future purchases with us or for any other purpose you choose. Currently, I’m developing a refill program that will allow you to reuse your glass packaging, which will reduce product cost when you repurchase. The only additional item you’ll need is a new spray pump, or any other product dispensing accessory as these are a bit more challenging to clean and will be included in the refill price. As a thank you for participating in our sustainability efforts, we’re offering an additional 2.5% discount on refill orders when you reuse glass packaging from previous purchases.
Plastics
At Kravin’ Woman Inc., we primarily use PP, PE, PET, and HDPE plastics for our product packaging. While these materials are all food-safe (thus safe for cosmetic use), non-toxic, and recyclable in Canada, some (like acrylic or plastic) are not our ideal long-term choice. This will be updated as we grow as a business and continue to search for affordable, sustainable, eco-friendly, and bio-degradable packaging.
As this is currently a small business, the value of our products is held within the ingredients in each product. The packaging that we’ve found were the most affordable, non-toxic and recyclable. By 2030, we aim to transition to fully green packaging, minimizing our carbon footprint to help create a cleaner future for the next generation.
Paper
Our boxes are made from kraft paper and fully recyclable. The fillers in product boxes are all paper as well and fully recyclable.
