Given our founder's love for education and background in healthcare and research, Kravin' Woman Inc. is not only about products. Understanding why things happen (the cause), one can understand the problem (physical signs because of the cause) and if one understands the cause and the problem, one can then look for solutions to address that specific problem. 

An example for you: 

Hyperpigmentation/ dark spots/ discolouration is a 3-step process. Melanin is produced by the melanin producing cells, then transported to the surface and then finally is deposited into the skin, resulting in a visible dark spot. Discolouration can occur for a number of reasons, but the steps towards its formation goes through this same process. People of colour are more prone to getting dark spots, from even the tiniest injury. Our founder approached common concerns and then researched the 'why' of the these concerns and then looked for ingredients to address these concerns. 

Dark spots are managed not only by exfoliation (physical &/or chemical), which only addresses the third step in the discolouration pathway; but in order to minimize the appearance of dark spots in the long term, one must first set realistic expectations, meaning, 6 -12 weeks or more (depending on the concern and severity) of consistent and accurate use of a product, but a consumer must also ensure that they are addressing the other 2 steps in the dark spot pathway. Sunscreen is an absolute non-negotiable in the process of eliminating the appearance of dark spots. You must prevent new dark spots by using sunscreen, so that you don't waste money, but also, see the results of your hard work in you skincare regimen. This, at times, should be used in collaboration with a healthcare professional because, not all dark spots, acne, stretch marks, cellulite or scars are created equal and some may have more severe cases of any of these conditions.
